Conservation, Climate Change Mitigation, and Biodiversity
We create our products from woods that would otherwise be lost, burned, or left to decay. We do not cut down trees. We salvage wood from deconstructed buildings, rivers, landslides, government land conversion projects, plantation culls and volcanic lahars. We have lead reforestation projects in Indonesia. These projects intentionally enable biodiversity and increase forest carbon storage. Due to Indonesia’s tropical climate and its many active volcanoes that perennially spew fertile volcanic ash throughout the archipelago, tree growth occurs in parts of Indonesia more rapidly than anywhere else on earth.
